We love our children at Resurrection! Pastor Jimmy has spent many years ministering to children as a camp counselor & director, nursery coordinator, and children’s director. He is passionate to make children welcome and included and see that they are engaged and discipled in their faith. For questions or more info about our children’s programs, contact us!
nursery (ages 0-3)
On Sunday mornings, we offer a nursery as a safe and welcoming place for children ages 0-3 during the entire worship service. As you walk toward our area in the rec center, you’ll walk right into the children’s check-in station, and they’ll get you checked in and show you to the nursery, right across the hall from the sanctuary.
Kids Lesson (pre-K to 2nd Grade)
For Pre-K to 2nd grade, children should check in before the service and then participate in the first part of the main worship service. Before the sermon, there is a time for greeting one another and during that time, this age group can be taken to their own class (also right across the hall) for an active and age-appropriate kids lesson.
in the worship service
All ages are also welcome in the worship service. We have clipboards with crayons and a children’s worship guide and coloring sheet to help them focus and participate. There is also plenty of room in the back for parents and children who need to be able to get up and move around during the service
beyond sunday mornings
There are lots of opportunities for children and families to connect with one another and with God beyond Sunday mornings. These include our weekly neighborhood Bible studies, monthly cookouts, community camping trip, flashlight Easter egg hunt, and summer sports camp!
In Sunday morning activities and other special events, we take child safety and security seriously. All staff and volunteers follow our child and youth safety guidelines and regular volunteers are background-checked and trained through MinistrySafe. We also utilize secure check-in/out procedures when children are participating separately from their parents.
